Day
1 »
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where you will be met
by representatives of High Altitude Dreams. They will pick you up
from the Airport and drop you off at the hotel.
11th April
Day 2 »
While you wrap up last minute paperwork with Nepal Government, you
will have a casual day of shopping for souvenirs in the streets
of Kathmandu. Fantastic opportunities to take incredible photos
along the way, visiting the places for instance Durbar Squares,
Hindu temples, Buddhist Stupas.
12th April
Day 3 »
The team will fly to the Himalayan foothills to begin your trek
into the Khumbu region. A clear day will give you a panoramic view
of the Himalayas. After landing in the village of Lukla (9,350 feet),
you will meet our staff and porters and continue three and half-hours
walk to Phakding (8,700feet). Note: The team members is strongly
suggested to look the surface carefully before taking photos especially
in the mountain region. On the ascending trip to Base Camp, you
have to give up the way to the passing Yaks standing the left hand
side of the trail while on the descending trip to Lukla, you have
to give up the way to the passing Yaks standing to the right hand side
of the trail. Be aware with passing animals.
13th April
Day 4 »
The team will continue along the DudhKoshi River with glorious view
until the trail ascends up to Namchhe Bazaar; the gateway to the
Khumbu region (11,300 feet). On the way to Namchhe Bazaar, you have
to pass through Sagarmatha National Park entrance station at Jorsalla
where you register your name. The trail between DudhKoshi and Namchhe
Bazaar is little bit clumsy but quite interesting. As you reach
TopDanda, if the weather is good, you will see panoramic view of
Mt. Everest. You can get different facilities like Internet, Hot
Pizza Bakery and Yak Stake in Namchhe Bazaar. Total approximate
hiking time is five and half-hours.
14th April
Day 5 »
Rest day for acclimatization in Namchhe Bazaar. It takes 1 hour
hike from Namchhe to Everest View Hotel (12,400 feet) where you
can view Mt. Everest (29,035feet) and other expedition peaks such
as Thamserku (21,679 feet), Kangtega (22,240feet) Kwangde (20,930
feet). Upon returning to Namchhe Bazaar, you can visit the village
of Kumjung where you can find Buddhist Monastery. It's believed
that the skulls of Yeti are still preserved inside the monasteries.
If the team is lucky enough, the traditional Bazaar (market) "Hatt"
can be observed on Saturday. Here, Tibetan traders sell goods brought
over the Nangpa La.
15th April
Day 6 »
The team continues the hike to Tangboche (12,700 feet). It takes
approximately five hours to reach Tangboche Monastery where we make
camp. Tangboche Monastery is one of the most famous monasteries
and people from many different countries visit for a blessing from
the Rempoche (Head of Lama). It is believed that every expedition
member must meet the Rempoche for a blessing before leaving on the
expedition to ensure a successful trip. Musk deer are often spotted
during early morning hours. Rhododendron and Pine trees are common,
as well.
16th April
Day 7 »
The team will continue a hike to Dingboche (14,400 feet) with toughest
section at the end of the day. It takes approximately six hours
to reach Dingboche where we camp. During the first half of the day,
you will meet yaks, trekkers and the porters on the trail on the
way to Base Camp. On the way dramatic view of Amadablam (22,350
feet) can be seen. Natural vegetation is sparse and snow line starts
from Dingboche.
17th April
Day 8 »
Rest day. Sherpas will lead you to an acclimatization climb up to
Chukungri (16,400 feet) and return to camp. It takes approximately
three hours.
18th April
Day 9 »
The team will continue a hike to Lobuche (16200 feet). You have
to be serious about the elevation gain and we suggest slowing down
your walking pace. Plan on hiking for 4-5 hours. The spectacular
scenery of Tawache, Cholotse, Nuptse, Lhotse and Lhotse Shar will
be seen throughout the day.
19th April
Day 10 »
The team will continue a hike to Kala Pathar (18,190 feet). The
uphill trail is little bit hard to walk due to elevation but if
you make it to the top, it will be quite satisfying. From there,
you will be rewarded with great views of Mt. Everest and nearby
peaks. As you climb up the Kala Pathar, you have to take gear such
as a flashlight, wind jackets, wind pants, hats, gloves and snow
glasses. It is strongly suggested to take a pack lunch with sufficient
drinking water. Basically it is an acclimatization trip for above
Mt. Everest Base Camp. It takes approximately six hours hiking on
this day with camp at Gorekshep (17,100 feet). Expect cold and windy
weather.
20th April
Day 11 »
The team will continue the hike to Everest Base Camp (17,600 feet).
It takes approximately three hours. Before your arrival at Base
Camp, our staff will set up camp and serve you a hot lunch.
21th April
Day 12 »
On this day at Base Camp, the local Lama from Pangboche will hold
a traditional ceremony of purification and blessing for the team
members. Basically it is a request made for the gods for permission
and protection of the individual team members while climbing the
Mt. Everest. This will ensure the climber's safe return from the
summit. To reduce the potential damage from avalanches and crevasses,
The Lama will tie a Sungdi (Sacred thread) around the neck to protect
from the suspected spirits.
22th April
Day 13 »
On this day, we start to climb into the Khumbu Icefall. In the beginning
we have a practice session, where we practice crossing ladders and
ascending and descending fixed lines. After climbing part way up
the Khumbu Icefall, team members will descend to Base Camp. It takes
approximately six hours to practice. We will start our climbing
trip as early as possible in the morning (5.00 A.M)
23th April
Day 14 »
Rest day at Base Camp. Preparations will be made for the next day's
trip to Camp 1.
24th April
Day 15 »
On this day, we start to climb to Camp 1 (19,500 feet). The climbing
begins as early as possible in the morning (5.00 AM). The climber
individually carries the required pack lunch, candy and plenty of
water. It takes approximately six hours to reach Camp 1. The time
spent at Camp 1 may vary, depending on weather delays.
25th April
Day 16 »
We start the climb to Camp 2 (21,300 feet). On this particular trip,
each climber carries the required pack lunch, candy and plenty of
water. This is a slow ascent trip taking approximately five hours
to reach Camp 2. The strong consideration is to be made for the
elevation factor before taking further step up. The Camp 2 cook
will provide a hot lunch and dinner at camp.
26th April
Day 17 »
Rest day at Camp 2.
27th April
Day 18 »
Acclimatization trip will be made upon the interest of the team members.
Considering the elevation factor, this will be the half way to Camp
3. The Team returns to Camp 2. Preparations are to be made for the
next day.
28th April
Day 19 »
The descending trip will start early in the morning. As you reach
the Base Camp, The Cook will provide hot meal at the camp.
29th and 30th April Day
20 & 21 »
We tried to provide you two-day rest to make necessary arrangement
for the next ascending trip such as drying the wet clothes, taking
hot shower; mental refreshment and confidence build up.
1st May
Day 22 »
On this day, the team will make early ascending trip to Camp 1.
As you reach to Camp 1, you will have an opportunity to relax.
2nd May
Day 23 »
The team will continue their ascent to Camp 2. It will be a slow
ascending trip and takes long hours to reach. On the way to Camp
2, you have to cross short ladders on couple of places. The glorious
view of Western CWM will attract the most and tremendous opportunity
to take photos at Camp 2.

4th May
Day 25 »
In the morning around 6:00A.M, the routes start out by continuing
up to the low-angled western CWM until the Lhotse face is met. From
there, the route climbs steeply up the icy slopes of the Lhotse
face. It takes five hours to reach the camp 3 (23,500 feet). It
is strongly recommended to use Oxygen inside the tent (pressure
level2) at night. Oxygen is used above Camp 3.
5th May
Day 26 »
In the morning (7:00 A.M.), The route above camp 3 continues straight
up the Lhotse face for a while. Then a rising traverse takes
climbers through the yellow Band- a section of rock and ice. Above
there, the routes continue traversing and ascending until the Geneva
spur. A steeper section of rock and snow, is passed the South Col is
reached by a long traverse from the spur. It takes 6-7 hours to
reach the camp 4 (26,300 feet). In this particular climb, the team
will need oxygen to reach the South Col where you will spend a few hours
and descent to camp 3.
6th May
Day 27 »
Team members will make descending trip to Camp 1. On the way, you
will have a lunch break at Camp 2 and continue your descending trip
to Camp 1 where you will have lightweight mountain food and camp
the rest of the day.
7th May
Day 28 »
On this day the team members will continue their descending trip
to Base Camp crossing through the Khumbu Ice-Fall. Our cook will
provide you hot soup and dinner and camp the rest of the day.
8th May
Day 29 »
Rest day will be provided to make necessary arrangement for the
descending trip.
9th May
Day 30 »
Team members will hike down the glacier and re-enter the lush and
beautiful village, named Pheriche, surrounded by the spectacular
snow-capped peaks. A well-known Himalayan Rescue Association Aid
post is situated at the village.
10th May
Day 31 »
Team members will hike down to Tangboche.
11th May
Day 32 »
Team members will hike down to Namchhe.
12th May
Day 33 »
Team members will hike down to Lukla.
13th May
Day 34 »
Team members will take early morning flight to Kathmandu. The staff
will pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the hotel.
After having refreshment, you will have an opportunity for shopping
and sight seeing.
14th May
Day 35»
On this day, the staff will pick
you up from the hotel and drop you off at International-Airport.
