and Accomplishments
This year, spring 2008,
24 of our climbers (12 clients and 12 Sherpas) summited Mt. Everest.
Among them were the first Quebec woman, and first Jordanian to summit
Mt. Everest.
In 2008, as they have done in each season since
the spring of 2000, the climbing Sherpas of High Altitude Dreams
in cooperation with Mountain Madness have fixed all ropes on Mt.
Everest from Camp 2 to the summit.
High Altitude Dreams’ extensive resources
enable us to manage multiple Everest expeditions each climbing season.
In 2008 we managed 4 teams consisting of 20 international clients.
Our Sherpa guides (licensed from Nepal Mountaineering
Association and Ecole Nationale De Ski Et D’Alpinisme) have
years of local experience and training on the high mountains of
Nepal, enabling them to make knowledgeable decisions on the mountain
with the safety of our clients always the highest priority.
One of our Sherpa guides has attended the prestigious
E.N.S.A in Chamonix, France for additional training, and another
of our guides will be attending this summer.
A female member of our staff will be receiving
training in South America from Outdoor Bound this winter. Next summer
she will take N.O.L.S. mountaineering instructor course.
We love our work more than business
High Altitude dreams is fund raising for
